Via expands contract with City of Lone Tree, CO to handle microtransit operations, supplementing longstanding software partnership

Under broadened scope of work with Lone Tree, Via demonstrates its industry-leading versatility by providing both TransitTech software and operations for its partners

January 31, 2023 (LONE TREE, COLORADO) — Via, the global leader in TransitTech, has been selected as the end-to-end provider for the successful “Link On Demand” microtransit service in Lone Tree, Colorado, supplementing Via’s long-standing role as the service’s on-demand booking and routing software provider with a new operations function.

Link On Demand is a fare-free, app-based public transit service that has provided more than 100,000 shared rides since its partnership with Via began in September 2019 (after operating as the Lone Tree Link since 2014). As a result of the City of Lone Tree’s and Via’s expanded partnership, Link On Demand will gain Via’s industry-leading expertise in vehicle operations and management, driver acquisition, scheduling and communication, rider growth strategy, and customer support.

Via’s new role as the Link On Demand operator will ensure a better quality of service for riders as well as a smoother experience for drivers. The City of Lone Tree staff will also gain a streamlined mobility management process, with Via serving as a “one stop shop” partner to handle all facets of the microtransit journey.

Link On Demand’s contract expansion with Via underscores the TransitTech provider’s ability to provide a flexible platform and solution to meet the needs of its partners and their communities. Via’s TransitTech software and operations is used in more than 600 communities globally.

Link On Demand has gained popularity with the Lone Tree community in recent years for its convenience and affordability – anyone in the area can book an on-demand public transit ride through Via’s app or by calling 719-212-2430. Via’s intelligent algorithms match riders headed in the same direction into one vehicle, creating quick and efficient trips that provide more flexibility than traditional public transit methods, which run on fixed routes and schedules.

Link On Demand continues to underscores the City of Lone Tree's commitment to providing a multimodal transportation system that provides accessibility and mobility for all ages and abilities of people who live, work, and visit the City. Today, many trips connect riders to and from nearby public transit stations or business hubs, such as the Charles Schwab Lone Tree campus.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
