A letter to our New York City drivers

Dear NYC Driver Partners,

In 2013, Via launched its first service right here in New York City, inspired by the belief that cities become better – more friendly, less congested, less polluted – when we share the ride.

Together, we built a platform that brought ridesharing to the masses and a community of driver partners and riders who supported us along the way.

We had a great ride, but we are discontinuing our New York City rideshare service on December 20, 2021. We're honored to have partnered with you — and we’re so thankful for every ride you provided for our service.

Via’s mission from day one has been to help cities improve the efficiency, convenience, and accessibility of their public transit networks. We’ve been successful in reaching that goal. Our software — developed and tested in NYC! — is used in more than 35 countries around the world. And while we’ve loved our rides across the five boroughs, the timing is right to focus on being a public transit solutions provider.

What this means for you.

You’ll be able to provide rides on the Via NYC platform through 12/20. Your final earnings report for the week of 12/20 will be released on Monday, 12/27, and you’ll receive your direct deposit on Tuesday, 12/28.

We’re still offering new opportunities.

Via powers and operates several other services in the Tri-State Area. We’re actively seeking drivers for our Via Jersey City service — if you’d like to learn more, fill out this form and we’ll reach out!

If you drive a Mercedes Metris, you may be eligible to drive with our NYU or Columbia SafeRide services right here in NYC. Tap here to let us know you’re interested!

We’re here to support your transition.

Lastly, paratransit providers — whose services provide transportation options for people with disabilities that are unable to access the public buses and subways — are also actively recruiting driver partners. Express your interest through this form.

Thanks for being a part of the journey!

With love,
Team Via NYC

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
