Overview.

Via partnered with Keolis to solve a variety of mobility challenges in France's Quimper region. First, they were looking to provide higher quality of service while reducing costs. They also sought to digitize their transportation planning tools and customer experience, while also maximizing operational efficiency with commingled fleets. A joint microtransit/paratransit service launched in 2021.

Solution.

Via's partnership with Keolis in Quimper consists of 5 services, all benefiting from a commingled fleet:

  1. HandiQUB, a door-to-door regional paratransit service.
  2. An early-morning microtransit service called QUB Mat.
  3. An evening microtransit service called QUB Noz.
  4. A first-mile-last-mile microtransit service taking passengers from two hubs to the nearby suburbs in the evenings.
  5. A microtransit service taking people to and from nearby beaches in the summer.

Ridership on both the paratransit and microtransit services continues to grow — a 40% increase in HandiQUB ridership since 2019, with the previous technology provider, and a 150% increase in QUB NOZ ridership in 2022 alone.

Via's technology allows us to offer innovative services that are beloved by riders and elected officials alike. Via's team knows how to be inventive in their design and nimble in their execution."
